Chance to dance ONDO at OC Cherry Blossom Festival Saturday March 14, 2020. Public Ondo and Taiko on the main stage at 10:30am hosted by the Little Tokyo Dance Club featuring Ryujin Taiko. Japanese Festival folk dancing similar to Western line dancing, the steps are sequenced and repetitive. Dance not in a line but in a circle, very much like “follow the leader” so no dance experience necessary. Fun to dance, fun to watch, dances will be traditional ondo and POP ONDO (traditional ondo dance to contemporary Pop Music.) All welcome to join in spirit, culture and community.

The Orange County Cherry Blossom Festival is an annual spring celebration of Japanese and Japanese American culture in Southern California. Each year, the festival brings together a broad spectrum of performers, activities, music, dance, cultural exhibits, arts, crafts, games and more. Taiko drumming, minyo, classical dance, gagaku music, origami, ikebana are presented alongside cosplay contests, anime characters, electronic music, jazz, video game tournaments and beyond. Of course, the event is also all about tasting the best of Japanese food and drink vendors in the region. Don’t miss the Sakura Night Market on Friday and Saturday evening!
