Shuei-Do Manju San Jose, Japantown's oldest and most cherished bakery, is a Japanese-style bakery renowned for its delectable baked goods in the Bay Area. A local favorite since its establishment in 1961, Shuei-Do Manju San Jose has gained fame for its exquisite manju. Manju is a well-loved Japanese sweet bun, typically filled with red bean paste or a variety of other delightful fillings.

Throughout the years, the shop has undergone expansion to include a diverse selection of treats such as mochi ice cream, dorayaki pancakes, taiyaki fish-shaped waffles, and even sushi rolls. Customers have the option to purchase individual items or choose from an assortment of boxed sets that make excellent gifts.

In addition to their regular menu offerings, Shuei-Do Manju San Jose presents special seasonal delights like strawberry manju for spring, chestnut mochi for fall, and sakura mochi during winter. The bakery's signature creation is the San Jose Manju-a sizable, circular bun typically brimming with sweet red bean paste and enveloped in a layer of soft, fluffy white mochi.
