Possible Dodgers Players on Japan’s 2026 Roster
Japan has not released its final 30-man roster for the 2026 World Baseball Classic. However, three current Dodgers stars are strong candidates to be selected based on past international play and their standing in Japanese baseball:

Shohei Ohtani: Previously played for Samurai Japan and was the MVP of the 2023 WBC
Yoshinobu Yamamoto: Former ace of the Orix Buffaloes and a key member of Japan’s 2023 pitching staff
Roki Sasaki: Widely expected to be chosen again because of his dominant WBC debut and status as one of Japan’s top pitchers

Their participation will be confirmed once Japan announces its final roster (expected in early 2026).

Here’s Japan’s Team 2026 World Baseball Classic path

Pool Play (Guaranteed)
• Tokyo Dome, Tokyo - March 5-10
• Opponents: Chinese Taipei, South Korea, Australia, Czechia

If Japan Advances (Top 2 in Pool)
• Quarterfinals - Miami, March 14
• Semifinals & Final - Miami, March 15-17
Japan will only come to the United States if they advance out of pool play - then all remaining games would be in Miami.
