Saturday: Mini Japanese Festival & BBQ Event.  Friends of the Japanese Garden & Community Partner, The South Miami/Coral Gables Elks Lodge Invite you to a Mini Japanese Festival/BBQ Saturday July 30th 11am. We're celebrating a $2500 Donation from Elks Lodge 1676’s to the Friends of the Japanese Garden!

Schedule of Events
• 11:00am Taiko Drummers by Yoshiko Taiko Dojo
• 11:15am Introduction of Elks State President/Check Presentation
• 11:30am Sushi Demonstration by Sushi Ko Japanese Restaurant
• 12:15pm BBQ lunch served
• 12-1:30pm Demonstration tables open:
• Ikebana: Learn the Japanese Art of Flower arrangement
• Calligraphy: Have your name written in Japanese
• Origami: learn the Japanese Art of paper folding
• 1:00pm: Martial Arts Demo by Sensei Robert Young of Goju Ryu Miami
• 1:15pm: Taiko Drummers by Yoshiko Taiko Dojo
• 1:30pm: State President departs

Admission
$10.00 per person Includes a BBQ lunch of Hot Dogs, Hamburgers,
Baked Beans, Cole Slaw & Soft drinks & Sushi Samples PLUS The Entertainment.
