The World Festival of Sacred Music 2011 and the JACCC invite you to venture outside to the grounds of the JACCC Plaza to celebrate the harvest moon with Mare Vaporum (Sea of Vapour), a kinetic spectacle suspending time and space, encompassed in the vapour of the moon.

Conceived and directed by JACCC Artistic Director Hirokazu Kosaka, this powerful outdoor performance features choreographer and Butoh dancer Oguri, harmonica player Tetsuya Nakamura, singer Rafael Lopez-Barrantes, The Colburn School's Trudl Zipper Dance Institute, Vox Dance Theatre, Ethan Margolis and live and recorded music by Yuval Ron.

Mare Vaporum is the closing event for the World Festival of Sacred Music, which celebrates the artistic accomplishments and rich diversity of sacred heritages in our city
