Established in 1981 at the East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Community Center in West Covina, CA, Kishin Daiko is a multi-ethnic, multi-generational Japanese taiko drumming group that exemplifies harmony with diversity in their repertoire and member-ship makeup. Kishin Daiko devotes itself to sharing Japanese and Japanese American culture by holding workshops and classes and performing all over Southern California and beyond. Some of our performance highlights include: The Los Angeles Philharmonic's 75th Anniversary at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion; The World Cup Soccer Celebration at Universal Studios; The United Nation's Blue Sky Project at Paramount Studios; The Super bowl XXXII Pre Game; and Michelle Kwan Day. You can check out more about our 35-year history at our websitewww.kishindaiko.com.

To celebrate 35 years of teaching and performing, Kishin Daiko is holding an anniversary concert on October 22, 2016 at 7pm at the Aratani Theatre in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. This 35th Anniversary Concert will showcase Kishin Daiko's collection of original pieces as well as debut new, never-seen-before works.
