Spirit of Japantown Festival 2011 highlights, - 16 food vendors, a beer/sake/wine garden (sponsors: Gordon Biersch Brewery, Primo Beer, Kirin Beer, Takara Sake and Chateau Marie Antoinette wines).

Hawaiian Stage will free entertainment by South Bay halaus and ukulele groups performing all day.� Main Stage, San Jose Taiko and Scojourners, odori and VivAsia.

All day anime screenings for the kids and teen/adult, by FanimeCon, a Maid Cafe and activities from Home Depot, arts and crafts, book sales, ballon fun, bamboo flute making and games in the Kids Zone and performances on the Kids Zone stage.
Indoors there are martial arts and sport demontrations (judo, kendo, shinkendo, karate, aikido, fencing national champions and lots more) sword appraisals, origami folding, Nichi Bei Weekly's manga exhibit and down the street, Midori Club's bonsai exhibit, Sogetsu Ikebana exhibit and open houses across the street of the Japanese American Museum of San Jose (JAMsj) and �the Issei Memorial Building.
Down on Jackson Street Akiyama Wellness Center will have their open house and arts & crafts booths booths. There will be Treatbot (karaoke ice cream truck) and a free bicycle inspection booth. And on 6th Street 120 cars will be converging for a Car Club Expo!

There are two donation drawings, One for 2 Southwest Airlines tickets, $500 cash and $250 cash (3rd prize). The other is a gift certificate drawing which will change every two hours. You put your ticket into the box with the gift certificate you want.
There will also be a Live Art area on Jackson Street where local spray paint artists will be auctioning off their work for Japan Relief & Recovery.
