The Lloyd Taber-Marina del Rey Library is a well-loved branch of the Los Angeles County Library system, located at 4533 Admiralty Way in Marina del Rey. First opened in 1976 and later renamed in honor of its benefactor Lloyd Taber, the library offers a warm and inviting space in the heart of the harbor community. Its unique setting includes a reading area with windows overlooking the marina, giving visitors a peaceful view of the boats while they read or study.

Inside, the library provides a variety of resources for all ages, including dedicated children’s and teen sections, general collections, and a popular Nautical Collection that focuses on small-craft boating and maritime topics. Visitors also have access to public computers, early learning stations, homework support, Wi-Fi, and technology lending kits such as laptops and hotspots.

Beyond its collections, the library serves as a community hub. It offers cultural and educational programs, virtual events, meeting room space, and services like photocopying and research help. It also participates in outreach initiatives such as the Veterans Connect program.

With its combination of traditional library services, unique nautical focus, and scenic waterfront location, the Lloyd Taber-Marina del Rey Library is both a practical resource and a charming destination for locals and visitors alike.
