Thursday's market is a special Obon themed event, with the usual produce and products you know and love - with special guest speakers, art-making, events, and music to celebrate Obon.

• 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm: Erin Masako Wilkins of HERB FOLK will present a workshop on Asian American Herbalism -  Gomasio tasting & DIY blending bar.
• 6:00 - 6:30 pm: Sonoma County Taiko perform

Throughout the evening there will be a paper lantern making and crafts table as well as Furoshiki demonstrations (the Japanese tradition of wrapping and transporting goods with fabric.)

Obon is a traditional Japanese festival honoring the ancestral spirits. It is a time of reflection, gratitude, and community with many traditions and practices that highlight the enduring connection between the past and the present, the living descendants and the ancestors that came before.
