Founded in 1982, Ryukyukoku Matsuri Daiko has branches across Japan, North America and South America. In 2012, the main branch in Okinawa celebrated their 30th anniversary and this year, Ryukyukoku Matsuri Daiko - Los Angeles Branch is proud to celebrate 20 years of spreading the Okinawan spirit across Southern California. To celebrate this momentous occasion we will be holding our first ever concert entitled, "Uchinaa Chimu Don-Don: Heartbeats of Okinawa" at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center.

Our anniversary concert will showcase how the Okinawan spirit can form friendships that overcome the barriers of distance, time, and language. Over the 20 years, our performances have allowed us to form lifelong friendships with members of the local, national, and international Okinawan communities. These bonds are so strong that many of our overseas friends will be joining us as guest performers. We hope that our audience members who also experience the power of the "Uchinaa Chimu Don-Don" during our anniversary concert.

We hope you will join us for our 20th anniversary concert "Uchinaa Chimu Don-Don: Heartbeat of Okinawa" from 5pm-7:30pm on Saturday, October 17th, 2015 at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center.
