The Annual OCO Club Mochitsuki event at Tanaka Farms is a cherished Japanese cultural tradition celebrating the New Year with the time-honored art of mochi-making. Scheduled for Sunday, December 29, this family-friendly event begins with a Pound Off Challenge for invited teams from 7:00 to 9:00 am. From 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (or until supplies run out), the festivities open to the public, inviting everyone to participate in pounding and shaping mochi rice cakes. This hands-on experience brings the community together to honor heritage and share in the joy of crafting these delicious traditional treats for the New Year.

Family Pounding: Open to the public starting at 9:00 AM (first come, first serve)

No matter where it's celebrated, however, Mochitsuki Taikai is always an important part of Japanese culture and tradition.
