Experience the elegance and discipline of Omato-shiki, a rare and ancient ceremonial form of Japanese archery performed by members of the Ogasawara-ryū American Branch. Originating over 1,300 years ago, this strictly codified ritual is performed as an act of prayer, blending history, spirituality, and precision. Still practiced today at Shinto shrines across Japan, Omato-shiki is offered as a prayer for good health, harmony, and safety in the year ahead. This demonstration provides a rare opportunity to witness a timeless Japanese tradition brought to life.
