About Yori Hatakeyama
Akutagawa Tele-vision: ”Mental Scenery”

Get ready to immerse yourself in the captivating world of Japanese American painter Yori Hatakeyama.

In her latest series of paintings, ”Mental Scenery” she explores the literary work of Ryunosuke Akutagawa, one of the most highly regspected authors of Japan.

Yori specializes in an ancient painting technique known as egg tempera in which egg yolk is mixed with various pigment powders to produce a painting medium.

Yori lives and works between Tokyo and Los Angeles. Her works have shown in the United States and international galleries. Recent exhibitions include: “Con TEXT II" Art Fluent, Boston (2023), “Basquy” Artespace, Munich, Germany (2022) and “Antigone, Doom Fruit Warrior”, 2 person show, BYSLF Gallery, Los Angeles (2021).
