Join us at Shoseian Teahouse for a special Samurai Film Festival, kicking off the new year with a full day of classic Japanese cinema. This event features iconic samurai films that explore honor, skill, and the human spirit, from legendary duels to wandering warriors and unforgettable characters. Each screening offers a chance to experience timeless stories on the big screen in a relaxed, cultural setting, making it a perfect outing for film lovers, history fans, and anyone curious about traditional Japanese storytelling.

10:00 - 11:30 : “Samurai III - Duel at Ganryu Island”
Miyamoto Musashi meets his arch rival Sasaki Kojuro for a final duel on an island.

12:00 - 1:30 : “Tale of Zatoichi - The Blind Swordsman”
Zatoichi is a blind swordsman and masseuse who encounters many adversaries in his travels.

2:00 - 3:30 : “Lone Wolf and Cub: Sword of Vengance”
The story of a Ronin who wanders the countryside of Japan with his small child, having various adventures.
