Japan Society is proud to announce the return of JAPAN CUTS: Festival of New Japanese Film, the largest festival of its kind and an annual highlight of New York’s cinema scene. From July 26-August 6, this year’s JAPAN CUTS will showcase over 25 films including five International Premieres, 10 North American Premieres, seven U.S. Premieres, three East Coast Premieres and three New York Premieres! This year’s festival will honor actor Yuya Yagira with our CUT ABOVE Award and present a special tribute to Ryuichi Sakamoto.
