The OrigamiUSA Annual Convention returns to Manhattan and the same hotel we were at in 2022, the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel.
About the Event
The Annual OrigamiUSA Convention held in New York is the largest origami convention in the world, and its purpose is to bring together origami enthusiasts of all skill levels, from beginner to expert, to share knowledge, techniques, and inspiration related to the art of origami.
The convention typically features workshops, classes, lectures, and exhibitions led by renowned origami artists and experts from around the world. Attendees have the opportunity to learn new origami models, meet fellow enthusiasts, and participate in hands-on activities.
Additionally, the convention hosts a large vendor area where attendees can purchase origami paper, books, and other supplies, as well as a variety of social events, including an exhibition night, an auction, and a banquet.

Hotel
The conference will be held at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel(link is external), located at 811 7th Ave New York, NY 10019. The price will be $207.00/night per room, so $103.50/night for a shared room. Make your reservation now for our special room block.
Rooms can be cancelled without penalty up until 72 hours (3 days) prior to 6:00 pm EST of the check-in day, so there is no downside to reserving early. The OrigamiUSA rate is available from the night of June 21, 2023 through the night of June 29, 2023, for those who wish to explore the city before or after the convention.
Food
On Monday night we'll hold a "We Survived!" dinner at a nearby restaurant.
Other meals are not included, but there are many local restaurants to choose from.

Day-to-Day Overview
Friday, June 23
Registration and check-in. Opening ceremonies begin at 2:00 pm EDT. Enjoy dinner at one of the many local restaurants near the hotel.
Saturday, June 24-Monday, June 26
Three full days of classes from 10:00 am-5:00 pm EDT.
Sunday evening we will have an oversized folding competition with 9-foot paper!
COVID Precautions
This year there will be no special requirements for COVID: masks are recommended, but not required.
