The Annual West Covina Cherry Blossom Festival kicks-off Spring, in celebration of the Cherry Blossom season being in full-bloom, on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at South Hills Plaza located at 1420 South Azusa Avenue in West Covina. Through the cooperation of the City of West Covina, South Hills Plaza and the East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Community Center (ESGVJCC), festivities including interactive games for the kids, and cultural performances will run from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

This open-to-the-public, annual event is an opportunity for the city to welcome residents of the local community as well as visitors from the greater community to gather with the common enjoyment, interest and desire of experiencing Japanese flavors, sights and sounds.

The schedule of performances is to include demonstrations by West Covina Judo Dojo, Eibukan Goju-Ryu Karate-Do, Covina Kendo Dojo. and Kishin Daiko will entertain traditional Japanese and pacific-islander dance and music.
