2015 Ekoji Buddhist Temple Annual Summer Obon Festival (Saturday Only) - Ekoji Buddhist TempleNEW

Summer festival open to the public and our community. Please come join Ekoji Buddhist Temple for food sales beginning at 5:30pm and Japanese Folk dancing beginning at 7pm. Everyone is welcome to participate in temple tours, candle illumination ceremony, children games, and listen to taiko drumming.

The community is invited to participate in Ekoji Buddhist Temples Annual OBON Festival.� Tour the beautiful Japanese Gardens, partake in delicious bento dinners, games for kids and cultimating in the traditional Japanese Odori folk dancing beginning at 7:00 pm.� Well-known taiko group, Nen Daiko will also be performing.

We encourage you to place your food order as soon as possible � we often run out of food early.
This year our food offerings feature Chicken Teriyaki Bento dinners and Spam Musubi, both available by pre-order. There will also be vegetarian rice bowls, somen noodle dishes and "Ninja Dogs"available at Obon, while supplies last.

You will be able to reserve your Chicken Teriyaki Bento dinner and Spam Musubi by completing a food pre-order form and either mailing your completed form with check to the temple or paying via PayPal.� To fill out the web form, click here.

If paying by PayPal, go to the home page and click theDONATE link. After logging onto your PayPal account, enter the total amount of the order, then on the subject/purpose box enter "Obon Pre-order." In the NOTES box, type in the items in your order with the quantities.
