On Sunday March 29th, 2015, the Gardena Valley Japanese Cultural Institute (GVJCI) would like to invite you to an afternoon of poetry, performance, and fun. Genie Nakano, poet, columnist, and GVJCI's beloved yogini and tanka sensei will read from her latest poetry collection, "Storyteller." This event is FREE to the public from 2:00- 4:00 pm in the Nisei Veterans Memorial Hall at the GVJCI. Genie Nakano's "Storyteller" is a welcoming and magical book that weaves various aspects of Genie's life, through the ancient form of Japanese poetry. In addition to live poetry readings and music, there will also be refreshments provided! Come join us for this exciting and entertaining afternoon!
