Mochitsuki is making mochi, rice cakes shared at New Year's time. Everyone is invited to come out and help. There are jobs for everyone! The 2011 Mochitsuki will be held on Saturday, December 10.

TO ORDER MOCHI
Please use the order form shown below. Orders are due, Sunday, December 4. We will be offering:
*Ko-mochi (about 9 pieces to a one pound bag) - $3
*An-mochi (mochi filled with red azuki bean paste) - $3
*Kasane (2 mochi of different sizes for stacking in the traditional New Year's display): small ($1) and medium ($3)
*Surprise! (shhhhh....depending on availability of ingredients we may offer yomogi (green tea) mochi on site, no pre-orders)

TO VOLUNTEER TO HELP
Come join the community effort to create these wonderful treats. No prior sign-up necessary.
Friday, Dec. 9, 7 pm- 9 pm: Help set-up tables and assemble mochi-making machines
Saturday, Dec. 10, 8 am - 4 pm: Many different tasks available. Experienced mochi shapers welcome. No prior experience necessary to help dust, weigh and pack mochi.
