*Nisei Week: 3rd Annual Los Angeles Tanabata Festival - Little TokyoNEW

Tanabata festival also known as the "star festival" will in Little Tokyo during Nisei Week.� The Tanabata Festival is in front of the MOCA The Museum of Contemporary Art (Which is next to JANM-Japanese American Nation Museum - same area).� There will be 100's of colorful hanging displays (streamers).� These displays are handmade by Japanese Organizations.� This is a great time to bring the kids for photos and to walkthrough the beuatiful display of handmade artwork.

Next to the Tanabata festival will have food booths, beer garden and a stage that will host performances.� In between the stage and Tanabat Festival will be the JANM Museum.� They will have booths with Japanese arts and crafts.�

Nisei Week Consists of many areas in Little Tokyo:

Fri Aug 12: 5:00 pm - Opening Ceremony - welcoming Tanabata festival to Nisei Week.
Fri-Sat-Sun-Mon: The Geffen/Moca Museum area will be open for visitors. All the streamers will be infront of the museum.
