Valley Japanese Community Center Obon Festival
The Valley Japanese Community Center is located at 8850 Lankershim Blvd, Sun Valley, CA. Delicious ethnic foods such as Udon, Sushi, Chinese Chicken Salad and Chicken Teriyaki will be available as well as Fresh Roasted Corn on the Cob, Gyoza, Chili Rice and Homemade baked goods.

Demonstrations of Judo, Karate, Kendo, Minyo Odori and Tea Ceremony will be held. Festival-type games, exhibits of calligraphy/Sumi-E, and schoolwork completed by Japanese School Students will be featured on both days.

Back by popular demand is LA Matsuri Taiko with another exciting performance.� Joining us in the circle again, "The Elvis Obon Jivers" always a lively and colorful addition to every Obon Festival!

Everyone is welcome in the Bon Odori dance circle. Bon dances are dances of joy so age, looks or experience should not inhibit anyone from entering the circle of dancers!

6:30 pm: Sunday, we will be dancing live to Marisa Kosugi of Matsutoyo Kai and Minyo Station who will be performing for the pleasure of the Ondo dancers and audience.
