Hiroshima/Nagasaki 80th Year Memorial. 2025 marks the 80th Anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. On August 6th and August 9, 1945, thousands were gone in a flash and turned into white ashes. Thousands more were sickened by the radiation poisoning following the bombing. Each year, memorials are held all around the world in memory of those who suffered from the bombings. We will gather on August 6th at 3:30 pm and hold a short memorial service followed by the ringing of the large Bonsho (bell) at 4:15 pm the exact time the bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
The memorial service will honor and remember all those who died in the bombings and resolve to work for peace in our lives, peace in our neighborhoods, peace in our nation and the world.
