Collecting new or clean second hand blankets for distribution directly to neighbors who call DTLA SKIDROW home on Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning. Please help by collecting clean blankets from family and friends and dropping them off in Little Tokyo on Saturday Dec. 4th between 4pm and 9pm.

Curbside drop off of blankets welcome. We will have volunteers standing on the sidewalk at 1st Street in front of the Japanese American National Museum, 100 N Central Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90012 (1st Street and Central Ave. in Little Tokyo) collecting blankets on Dec.14th between 4pm and 9pm.

Laundry is a challenge on SKIDROW, blankets are a “disposable” commodity. Donated blanket do not have to be NEW, just clean.

SHARE this holiday season with those less fortunate by collecting blankets for people in need of cover from the elements.

Bring a blanket, bring a bunch of blankets, new/2nd hand all quantities greatly appreciated. Blankets will be directly distributed to our neighbors who call the sidewalks of SKIDROW home on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning.

If you are interested in helping with the distribution of blankets on Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning please contact us. Blankets are delivered at 9 pm to 10 pm on Christmas Eve and 2 am to 3 am Christmas Morning. We have 25+ years experience delivering directly to SKIDROW. Single word to describe delivering directly to SKIDROW, “HUMBLING…”

Please be advised the blanket collection event is not associated with any church, temple or organization. This event is organized by community volunteers in support of neighbors who call the streets of SKIDROW home. Churches, temples or organizations that wish to help with collection of blankets are more than welcome to collect blankets and drop them off on Dec. 14th in Little Tokyo. Or contact us before Sun. Dec. 22nd to pickup large collections.

Feel free in contacting us at skidrowkyo@gmail.com or contact Wesley Nishinaka at wnishinaka@aol.com or 213 359-7755.

Wishing all Peace, Love and Goodwill this Holiday Season.
