The Japanese Student Association (JSA) at Carnegie Mellon University hosted its highly anticipated Matsuri festival, offering a vibrant showcase of Japanese culture. The festival featured authentic Japanese street food, traditional taiko drumming, and interactive games, drawing hundreds of attendees from both the university and the greater Pittsburgh area.

Enjoy yakisoba, takoyaki, choco-bananas, cream puffs, udon, and matcha, while participating in festival games like goldfish scooping, shooting games, and trivia. Pittsburgh Taiko performed drumming routines, leading an audience-participation dance of Tankō Bushi, and live performances included a student band covering Japanese music and a dance troupe performing K-pop.

With sponsorship from local businesses and university organizations, Matsuri continues to grow as an immersive cultural experience, celebrating the spirit of traditional Japanese festivals in Pittsburgh.
