Geisha in the Garden - Reception and Performances.  Guests to the special event being held by the Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden, in partnership With The Japan Foundation, Los Angeles, will have an opportunity to meet with the three geisha visiting the West coast from Kyoto.

These highly trained artists in their kimono costumes and oshiroi makeup will give two performances of music and dance in the teahouse. In between there will be plenty of time at the reception to talk with them (with interpreters) and experience one of the most unique cultural traditions in the world that has been practiced for centuries and is still honored today.
