The 18th Japanese Cultural Festival, organized by the Japanese Culture Festival Committee, takes place in the Millbrae Library parking lot, David J. Chetcuti Community Room, and Library Meeting Room A & B. This festival aims to showcase various aspects of Japanese culture and is open to the public.

The festival offers a wide range of activities and attractions to engage attendees of all ages. Live performances take center stage, featuring traditional Japanese music, dance, and theater. These performances provide a glimpse into the rich artistic heritage of Japan and entertain the festival-goers.

In addition to the live performances, there are demonstrations and exhibits that allow visitors to learn about Japanese traditions and crafts. Skilled artisans may showcase their expertise in activities such as calligraphy, origami, flower arrangement (ikebana), tea ceremony (sado), or martial arts. These demonstrations offer an interactive and educational experience, providing attendees with the opportunity to try their hand at these traditional practices.
