We will be featuring the following groups:
* Yuujou Daiko, led by OCO member Judi Kaminishi. Their latest performance was at theStaple Center's JA Community Nightduring the Clippers game.
* Hikari Taikois from the Southeast Japanese Community Center Norwalk and was founded by Tak Murata. Mary Jane Maeda is the head instructor and the executive director
*Jodaikotaiko group is comprised of and run by students at UCI. Current executive director is Caress Mauhili.Click here for their promo video.
*Senryu Taikogroup is another college group run by the students from UCR. They not only dedicate themselves to the performance aspect but to the entire process. They even build their own drums!Check out their video.
*Daion Taikogroup (pending) from the Orange County Buddhist Church is one of the oldest and largest taiko groups in the United States comprised of performers as young as 10 years old and as old as 60.Click here to view their performance at Dodger Stadium.Hoping that they can fit this event into their busy schedule!!
