Berkeley Buddhist Temple Obon is an annual event to commemorate our ancestors. Traditionally, lanterns are hung in front of houses to guide the ancestors' spirits, obon dances (Bon Odori) are performed, and food offerings are made at house altars and temples.

Each year, Berkeley Buddhist Temple & Berkeley Higashi Temple have one event thet includes both organizations together. The location of the dance alternate between the 2 churches. This year the dance will be at Berkeley Buddhist Temple, next year it will be held at Higashi Temple.

Everyone is invited to participate.
