20th Anniversary Concert of GenRyu Arts - Performances by: children, GenRyu Arts Ensemble, alumni and adults

GenRyu Arts Artistic Director Melody Takata created GenRyu Arts 20 years ago to teach, sustain the traditional Japanese cultural art of dance, shamisen, and taiko. She continues to provide opportunities for students at Clarendon Elementary School Japanese Bilingual and BiCultural program to learn these forms of traditional Japanese culture.

GenRyu Arts have perform at the annual Cherry Blossom Festival; SF Chinese New Years Community Streetfair; Nihonmachi Little Friends and Rosa Parks Japanese Bilingual Bicultural fundraisers as well as at SF Giants; half time for the Golden State Warriors Asian Heritage Day; and at Japan Day in SF Japan Town and other festivals in the SF Bay Area.
