The Seabrook Buddhist Temple, located in the rural farmlands of southern New Jersey hosts annual Obon Festivities, drawing participants and onlookers from several surrounding states.

Seabrook Obon Festival schedule:
Food booths open at 4:00pm
Meditation Garden open 4:00-Dusk
Introduction to Buddhism 5:00-5:30pm
Karate Demonstration 5:00-5:30pm
Folk Dancing & Taiko Drummers 6:00-9:00pm
Please bring a Blanket or Chair

Additionally, the Seabrook Educational and Cultural Center museum with exhibits on the historic 'Global Village' of Seabrook and post-WWII Japanese American community is open on Sat. July 19 from 1-4:30pm. Located at 1325 New Jersey 77, Bridgeton, NJ, only 2 minutes away from Obon Festivities. No entrance fee, donations welcome. For more info http://www.seabrookeducation.org
