A Must See Documentary Film
Come view this documentary featuring survivors present in both Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the time of the bombings, "Twice Bombed, Twice Survived", directed by Ryo Aoki, tells the story of these survivors and their wish for the world. There will be a Lunch available for sale.
*SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT* - Mr.Hidetaka Inazuka, the producer of "Twice Bomb, Twice Survived ", will be here from Japan attending the screening at OCBC! We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to have Mr. Inazuka at our event.
In American History classes and through the media, we have been made aware of the horrific atomic bomb (A-bomb) devastations in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, in the summer of 1945. We know that over 270,000 people were killed, the cities rebuilt, monuments erected, and memorial services conducted. But what do we know about the survivors and their experiences on the day of the bombings?
The physical after effects of radiation and time have greatly reduced the number of survivors that remain. Among them are a few survivors that were present in both cities at the time of the bombings and lived to tell about it; their numbers are dwindling rapidly. "Twice Bombed, Twice Survived" is a documentary telling their story and their wish for the world.
