OCBD Fundraiser for the Japanese Disaster

Southern California Premiere of Great Grandfather's Drum. A documentary of the challenges and successes of Americans of Japanese Ancestry in Hawaii.�

Great Grandfather's Drum (Fukushima Ondo) will bring this history alive in an entertaining one-hour documentary. The file is about the people who lived this history, honoring them and their experiences, and allowing future generations to understand history through the words of the people who lived it. By combining traditional music, the wisdom of elders, the excitement of live performances, and historical materials, viewers will better undertsnad the history of American of Japanese Ancestry in Hawaii.
