Japanese Cultural Fair will be held on June 18, 2011.� This will be our twenty-fifth anniversary of bringing to the community and anyone who attends, to see, experience and/or participate in one of the most comprehensive presentations of traditional Japanese culture that can be found on the West Coast.

This is a one-day, free event starting at 11 AM and ending at 6 PM.

Mission Plaza Park, 103 Emmett St., Santa Cruz, CA 95060

Schedule
The Main stage is in Mission Plaza Park (in front of the Holy Cross Church), with a wide array of martial arts demonstrations at the Aikido of Santa Cruz Dojo on Mission Street, and "quiet, peaceful" activities at the Zen Center on School Street.� Free parking will be available at the Santa Cruz County Government Center where a free shuttle will take you through downtown on it way to the park and back.

Major sponsors have included the City of Santa Cruz, its Sister Cities Program (Shingu, Japan), the Watsonville-Santa Cruz Chapter of the JACL, the Watsonville Taiko Group, Community Television of Santa Cruz County, Cruzio Internet Provider, Public Radio KUSP 88.9, Hawaiian Music Radio Station KAPU-LP, and the Nichi Bei Foundation.� The event will be partially funded in part by a grant from the Cultural Council of Santa Cruz County and hopefully a grant pending from the Alliance of California Traditional Arts, Living Cultures Grants Program, in partnership with the Walter and Elise Haas Fund, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the James Irvine Foundation, and The Metabolic
Studio, a direct charitable activity of the Annenberg Foundation.
