Please join Westside Athletics in support of its inaugural Dale M. Inouye Memorial Tournament, an invitational basketball tournament to be held at CSUDH on August 7-8, 2010. The Dale M. Inouye Memorial Tournament will be held in memory and honor of our friend Dale to promote the qualities of sportsmanship, perseverance, and inner strength through friendly basketball competition.

The Dale M. Inouye Inner Strength Award will be given to one selected player of each grade level who exhibits the exemplary attributes of positive attitude, gratitude and appreciation of life, as Dale did throughout his short life. A presentation will be made at the end of each division play on Sunday, August 8 at CSUDH. The awards ceremonies will be at 10:00, 11:30, 1:00 and 2:30 on Sunday.

This year's 2010 Dale M. Inouye Memorial Tournament will feature 20 boys' teams from various youth sports organizations from grades 4 through 9. Come watch these exciting basketball games and be there to support the 4 honorees of the Dale M. Inouye Inner Strength Award!

Proceeds from the tournament will be donated to support local scholarship and cancer research. The donations will be made to the Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA, Division of Hematology and Oncology, to Jonathan Jaques Children's Cancer Center of Miller Children's Hospital, Long Beach and to local scholarship programs promoting youth sports.

We hope that you can come out to celebrate and remember the life of Dale with us, as we raise funds to fight cancer.
