Yayoi Kusama's INFINITY MIRRORED ROOM - LET’S SURVIVE FOREVER
Experience Yayoi Kusama’s world-renowned INFINITY MIRRORED ROOM - LET’S SURVIVE FOREVER at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), beginning April 5, 2025. AGO Members (Admirer level and above) receive early access on April 5 and 6. Public access begins April 8. The immersive mirrored installation is located on Level 2, in the Sam & Ayala Zacks Pavilion (#244). Admission is free for AGO Members, Annual Passholders, and Ontarians 25 and under.

About the Artwork
Kusama’s INFINITY MIRRORED ROOM - LET’S SURVIVE FOREVER invites visitors into a stunning mirrored space filled with suspended and floor-placed silver orbs. A mirrored column within the room creates the illusion of endless reflections. This iconic installation is now part of the AGO Collection, thanks to over 4,700 donors and support from the David Yuile & Mary Elizabeth Hodgson Fund.

Please note: the installation undergoes regular maintenance every Wednesday and Friday from 4:00-4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 3:00-3:30 p.m. It may occasionally close without notice.

About the Artist
Yayoi Kusama (b. 1929, Matsumoto, Japan) is a celebrated contemporary artist whose career spans over 70 years. Her innovative work encompasses painting, performance, installation, fashion, and literature. Kusama first introduced her Infinity Mirror Room concept in 1965 and has since created more than 20 unique rooms. Her influence spans Pop Art and Minimalism, and she continues to create interactive art into her 90s.

How much does it cost to see the INFINITY MIRRORED ROOM?
Included with General Admission. Entry is first-come, first-served and not guaranteed.

Can I make an advance reservation?
No. Access is first-come, first-served only. Each session allows four people for up to 60 seconds.

How long is the wait?
Wait times vary depending on visitor demand.

How long can I stay inside the room?
Each group may enter for up to 60 seconds.

Can my group reserve a time?
No reservations available. School groups may contact: groupsales@ago.ca

How many people can enter at once?
Four people are allowed inside every 60 seconds. Smaller groups may be paired with others.

What is allowed inside the room?
No coats, bags, purses, or strollers are permitted inside. Items can be left outside. AGO Members receive free coat check.

Is it wheelchair accessible?
Yes, one wheelchair at a time. Doorway width: 1.1 meters. Mobility scooters are not allowed.

Can I take photos inside?
Personal photography is allowed, but you’re encouraged to enjoy the experience mindfully. Tag photos with #SeeAGO.

Can children view the installation? Can I bring a stroller?
Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Strollers are not allowed inside and must be left outside.
