Keiko Matsui, a globally acclaimed pianist, composer, and humanitarian, declares that her melodies serve as a living testimony. Her music transcends boundaries, resonating with fans worldwide and fostering unity through cultural exchange and honest artistry. Collaborating with renowned artists like Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder, and more, Keiko views each performance and recording as a unique opportunity to deliver an emotional experience. Her album "Journey To The Heart" is a gift to her fans, aiming to connect people in a world that feels increasingly disconnected.

Keiko Matsui's creative process for "Journey To The Heart" took her on a journey from Catalina Island to Eastern Europe and back to California. The album, her 27th as a leader, marks her 30th anniversary in the music industry and showcases a new acoustic direction. Collaborating with musicians like bassist Carlitos Del Puerto and drummer Jimmy Branly, Keiko aimed to create music that invigorated her sound. With over 100 melodies considered, the album features ten themes that captivate listeners with their mystical and otherworldly qualities. Each song represents a unique emotional journey, resonating with Keiko's organic and multi-dimensional musical style.

Keiko's melodies hold a significant place in her music, serving as a conduit for her unique melting pot of musical influences. "Journey To The Heart" features a diverse range of tracks, from the percussive energy of "Moving On" to the evocative and contemplative "Blue Rose." Keiko's music holds the power to unite generations and spread kindness, reminding people of what truly matters in our shared human experience.
