This epic WWII musical follows a Japanese American family and their plight through forced incarceration, a black jazz musician captured during Germany's occupation of France, and the powerful spirit of music and literature. This breathtaking new work will uncover the lost letters of history and paint a pure picture of a fascinating era. Letters To Eve is a 7-year labor of love for Daniel Sugimoto, he started writing this story for his grandmother, Midori Sugimoto, who grew up in an American Concentration Camp. Even through their incarceration these Japanese Americans continued on living, loving, and laughing, which is the soul of Letters To Eve. ï¿½In America's current political situation there are flickers of history repeating, and it is important to hear the lessons of the past to make a better future.ï¿½ Watch the journey of these forgotten heroes in a two week run at The Miles Playhouse, 1130 Lincoln Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90403.
