Gardena, CA � Changes to healthcare, taxes, and other laws are at stake! To learn more about what you will be voting for this November 8th election the Center for Asian Americans United for Self-Empowerment (CAUSE), Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC), and Gardena Valley Japanese Cultural Institute (GVJCI) will be holding a Voter Information workshop at the Gardena Valley Japanese Cultural Institute Nisei Veterans Memorial Hall (1964 w. 162nd st. Gardena, CA 90247)) on Saturday September 24th, 2016 from 1:00 PM � 3:00 PM.

This voter education session will be geared primarily towards Japanese, Korean, and English-speaking seniors who are seeking easily accessible information about voter registration and voter re-registration, in addition to absentee ballot information, ballot propositions and other information regarding the November 8th General Election.

The voter information session will be conducted in Korean, Japanese, and English and will begin with an overview of the voting process and ballot measures. It will then be followed by a question and answer portion and will end with an opportunity drawing. Prizes like rice bags, cooking utensils, and other Asian foods will be available! Light refreshments will be provided, the event is free and open to the public. Every senior that attends gets a 5lb. bag of rice.
