The OAA will be hosting a special guest from Japan, Reverend Megumi Enomoto, who will be speaking about the 20 years he spent in Iejima, Okinawa. The Okinawan phrases "nuchi du takara (life is our treasure)" and "ichariba choodee (once we meet, we're family)" will be prominent themes in his talk.

The title of his presentation is "Kyoto's Bubu-zuke and Okinawa's Ichariba-choodee," contrasting the attitudes of Uchinaanchu (the Okinawan people) and Japan.

Reverend Enomoto will be speaking in Japanese, but a live English translator will be present.

RSVP REQUIRED!
