HACHI - A Dog's Tale (2009)
This heartwarming story of loyalty is an American adaptation of a Japanese true story about a loyal dog named Hachiko. In Rhode Island, Professor Parker Wilson (Richard Gere) finds a lost dog at a train station and takes it home with the intention of returning the animal to its owner. He finds that the dog is an Akita and names it Hachi after the Japanese characters on its collar. However, nobody claims the dog so his family decides to keep Hachi.
