Obon Dance Festival Returns to Manhattan's Upper West Side
For the first time ever, the Obon Dance Festival will be celebrated right in the heart of our Upper West Side neighborhood-just steps from the New York Buddhist Church (NYBC) on 106th Street. This exciting milestone marks the return of Obon to our community after years of anticipation, made possible by the hard work and dedication of the Obon Committee, who secured this cherished local venue.

Join us for an evening of joyful Obon circle dancing open to all, the powerful rhythms of taiko drumming, children’s origami activities, and more. It's a celebration of culture, remembrance, and togetherness-right in our own backyard.

See below for the Date and Time.
