17th Annual Ikebana Exhibit (Adventures in Ikebana)
Experience the beauty and creativity of Japanese flower arranging during this two-day exhibition at the Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix. Presented by Phoenix Sogetsu Ikebana, this year’s theme explores traditional, modern, and experimental ikebana styles using natural materials, desert elements, and unexpected artistic mediums.

• Theme: Adventures in Ikebana
• Presented by Phoenix Sogetsu Ikebana
• Exhibition styles include traditional arrangements, desert-inspired designs, unconventional materials (plastics, metals, fabrics), and anime-influenced works
• Admission: General $20 ($22 at gate) - Youth 7-17 $18 ($20 at gate) - Members $15 ($17 at gate)
• General admission is included with event ticket purchase

Ikebana Information Booth
• Saturday & Sunday - 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
• Learn about lessons, the Sogetsu School, Phoenix Sogetsu Ikebana, and Ikebana International
• Free scavenger hunt with prizes

Anime and Ikebana
• Saturday & Sunday - 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
• Free with timed entry every 15 minutes
• Live examples, handouts, and anime stickers

Make and Take Miniature Ikebana
• Saturday & Sunday - 11:00 am - 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
• Cost - $10 for a 30-minute lesson
• Create your own miniature ikebana arrangement with live branches and fresh flowers
