Speaker Jeffrey Robinson will present on Ikebana, the centuries-old Japanese art of flower arranging, at the Bob Chisholm Community Center at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at a meeting of the Sou’wester Garden Club.

Robinson became interested in Ikebana, which translates to “living flowers” or “giving life to flowers,” when seeing displays at the Missouri Botanical Gardens’ Japanese Festival.

He has studied the art for over 7 years, joining the Ikenobo School of Floral Arts in Kyoto, Japan, and presenting at the Portland Japanese Gardens.

This is a free presentation. For details on the Sou’wester Garden Club, visit www.facebook.com/souwestergardenclub.
