Celebrate the Tanabata (Star Festival) at the Hammond Museum & Japanese Stroll Garden, a cultural event inspired by the annual reunion of the celestial Weaving Maiden and Herd Boy. This family-friendly afternoon includes an interactive storytelling of the Tanabata legend, a brief astronomy lesson tied to the myth, hands-on origami making, and the creation and hanging of traditional tanzaku (wish banners).
