2013 Origami Day at the Japanese Garden - The Japanese Garden - Van NuysNEW

Mark Sunday, November 3, 2013 as your special day to share the joy of Origami, the traditional Japanese art of paperfolding, at The Japanese Garden in Van Nuys.

Instructors will provide origami paper but visitors may bring their own crisp dollar bills, or gift wrap cut to the same currency dimensions, to fold a bird, flower or butterfly.

Ecofriendly origami will feature displays of cranes, dragons and angels folded from recycled ads, gift wrap and chocolate wrappers.

Origami videos will feature basic folds, advanced models, paper crane instructions and practical uses of origami.

General Admission - $3, Refreshments $2
