2013 Annual Japan Day - Central ParkNEW

Japan Day will return to fill the green oasis of East Meadow with tents offering a wide range of Japanese traditional and family-friendly activities, free samplings of popular Japanese cuisine and stage performances throughout the day, with top entertainers from New York and Tokyo. The event will kick off with Japan Run, a mini-marathon, at 8 AM, followed by the Japanese Day Festival in the East Meadow at 10AM with the opening of all activity tents and the stage show.

Japan Day @ Central Park 2013 is scheduled for Sunday

The event was designed by the Japanese community of New York with three missions in mind: 1) to promote deeper understanding of Japanese Culture, 2) to say "Thank you, New York!" for providing such a nurturing home to America's largest Japanese Community, and 3) to strengthen relationships within the Japanese grassroots community.
