May 12th - A FREE Screening of "Farewell to Manzanar" is being co sponsored by OCBC Project Kokoro, JANM & OCO.��Movie will start at 4PM , a discussion will follow & BBQ dinner.

The movie is based on the autobiographical book, Farewell to Manzanar by Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston &� James Houston.
It would be a great opportunity for middle school & high school kids to see this film. Many�CA Students �have read the book in middle school (This non-fiction book has become a staple of curriculum in schools and universities across the United States.In fact, in an effort to educate Californians about the experiences of Japanese Americans who were confined in American internment camps during World War II, the book and the movie were distributed in 2002 as a part of a kit to approximately 8,500 public elementary and secondary schools and 1,500 public libraries in California.)
