2012 Centenary's Pre-Bazaar Ondo/Odori Practice Schedule - Centenary United Methodist ChurchNEW

We will be holding two Odori/Ondo practices at Centenary prior to the May 5, 2012 Arigato Bazaar. Odori/Ondo dancing at the Bazaar will take place at 2:30pm (assembly 15 minutes prior to start of dancing) on Saturday May 5, 2012 in the parking lot.

We will be holding two open practices
On Sunday April 15, 2012 the Church will be closed and no service held due to CicLAvia, a bicycle event that will force street closures surrounding the church. However, we will hold our first pre-bazaar practice on this day starting at 12 noon. This practice will be lead by our friends from Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple from across the street. Practice will be held at Centenary in the fellowship hall. We will also be serving lunch at this practice to all that attend. You will not be able to enter the church parking lot on this day so please plan ahead for parking. Street parking "near" the church may be limited. "Pay" parking is available at the Woori Market entrance on Alameda Street. Gold Line (Metro Rail Train) Little Tokyo/Arts District Station located at the intersection of First and Alameda Streets could be a viable option.

The second practice will be on Sunday April 22, 2012. Centenary will be holding a "Blessing of the Animals" service on this day at 10:45am in the fellowship hall. Dance practice will start at 2:00PM in the fellowship hall.
