ODORI/ONDO Dancing
Odori/Ondo dancing at the Bazaar will take place at 2:30pm (assembly 15 minutes prior to start of dancing.) All welcome to join. Odori/ondo dancing at this year's Centenary Arigato Bazaar will be entertaining and fun as well as history making. Fellowship with the greater Japanese American Community, with our Buddhist Brothers and Sisters and our staple of friends and family, odori/ondo dancing will bring us all together for a joyous and festive time. We are encouraging (but not requiring) participants to wear happi coats, yukata or kimono during our dance time. The dance list will be as followed: Tanko Bushi, Shiawase Samba danced to Michael Jackson's "Rock with You", Sakura Ondo, Kawachi Ondo danced to Lady GaGa's "Just Dance", Mottainai and Memanbetsu Bayashi. Shiawase Samba and Kawachi Ondo will also be danced to their traditional music. To make this a success we need dancers. So please attend on Saturday May 5, 2012. Please spread the word, invite friends and family. Parking will be available at the Medical Building located at 420 E. Third Street. The entrance to the parking structure is on Boyd Street. Shuttle service will be operated between the church and this parking lot.
